Nearly there

I've finally finished up my bookmark patterns and they have been sent off to test tatters. Here's a photo of all of the bookmarks on the table:

It should only be a few more weeks before these patterns will be available in my Etsy shop.

Not only are your bookmark designs beautiful, but your tatting is impeccable! Always!!! I've noticed this perfection on every project. And then there is your complete understanding of using a computer (an iPad!) to design. I've always been in awe of your expertise with Inkscape. I revisited some of your Inkscape tutorials, and my mind is still blown away. You're a perfectionist there, also.
You probably have a better grasp of the software than the designers themselves!

I also reviewed how you learned about tatting (not so long ago!) and was amused all over again - especially reading about the Gumbie Cat song (which I never was aware of). I was only aware of 'Cats' due to the song 'Memory' which was played on the radio a lot! Other than that song (which is so haunting), it's not 'my kind' of musical, although obviously it's immensely popular and is finally being made into a movie after all these years.

But you simply took off like a rocket once you learned the basics of tatting. It does prove that the internet and videos have been hugely instrumental in bringing newfound popularity to crafts, especially tatting, and have promoted new talent and designers, such as yourself!

And look how far you have come!

Thank you everyone!

Kathy, I forgot that I mentioned hearing about tatting from the Gumbie Cat song, hahaha! It still took several years before I accidentally stumbled upon some photos of tatting online, and figured out exactly what it was. Isn't it wonderful that there are so many tutorials freely available these days? It certainly has been instrumental in helping me to develop my tatting skills.

They are all gorgeous! Looking forward to their release. They are the right size projects to get done in the lead up to Xmas.

Update: deleted my other comment as I found my answer on the right side of your blog :).

Greetings. I hope you are ok, it’s been a while since you posted anything, and your Etsy shop has been on vacation a very long time. I would really like to buy this pattern set of bookmarks. If you see this, please email me at BetsyeSmith706@yahoo.com
